My AR pistol gets delivered this week!

I think I want to put some type of red dot sight or optic or laser on it -

If you took all the knowledge I have about optics and wrote it on a grain of rice there would be room left over for a list of things I understand about women before one side of the grain of rice was full.

I was thinking Bushnell TRS-25 - but this seems like a much better choice - even though it is 2x the price it is still only $120.

    Anyone have one?

    How do you like it?

Any other recommendations? Say under $200.

I have this model on my 300 BP pistol/bedroom gun . It works amazing and it turns on when I pick it up

I don't have any evidence but I always always assumed they were rebranded Holosun sights. That said, the Holosun labeled sights are fantastic and I imagine the Romeo is as well. I've got one on a CZ Scorpion and one on an PSAK47 with zero issues to report after thousands of rounds.

Have run my Romeo5 pretty hard, it has work as it should. The only thing I did to mine was replace the base as I didn't care for the original style as it screamed cheap to me, but most of the chinese made dots have cheap base's on them.

Primary Arms Advanced Microdot is another good choice.

You don't hear much negative about it and you can find them around $100 if you shop around and time it right.

I have a TRS25 on my Scorpion and got a Romeo5 after reading all the positive reviews. I ended up sending it back because I missed the controls on the TRS versus the Romeo5.

It claims to have 8 daylight and 2 night setting -

I am sure night means dark but not pitch black - but wondering how the night settings perform.

By controls - do you mean on, off and brightness?

I was wondering if the Romeo5 could be shut off - or is it always activated by motion?

They are having a free shipping sale on all Primary Arms branded optics -

I look at a few of them - the base model is only $90 but doesn't look like it comes with a riser base.

I was at a Thanksgiving get together - the brother of my daughter's father in law works for Primary Arms -

I then discovered they are only 15 miles from my house - since then I have gone their 2X and have spend over $200 - but they have pretty cheap shipping too -

I wanted an angled grip and some polymer rail panels -

They had the grip - but were sold out of the rail panels -

Shipping was like $2.98 with either or both of them - so I requested to get an email when the rail panels got back in stock -

About 20 minutes later I got an email -

So I went to order -

But now the angle grip was out of stock -

So I requested to be notified when it was back in stock.

Only about 10 minutes later I was notified it was back in stock - so I ordered both -

The next day -- the next freaking day they were in my mailbox.

These guys know how to ship fast!

Some places take over a week before they even do a shipping label.

I have a trs25 on my 22 pistol. But a Romeo 5 on my AR 9 pistol. I much prefer the control layout on the Romeo. It allows for a much slimmer profile. And yes, you can turn it off.

I read about the Holusun connection - I think that is a good thing --

I am liking it more and more --

    I did a few searches - seems like right now $120 + tax & shipping - will be right around $135 -

If I see one for $100 I would jump on it - but when the price looks too low I start to wonder about counterfeit.

Yeah, I like the dial to control on/off and levels of brightness.

The Romeo 5 is a good quality optic for the money. I picked one up last fall on sale for $99. It’s currently sitting on my MCK for Glock’s.

I run one on a 9mm PCC and it works great for me. I'm building a 300 black out now and plan to use the same site
