There is one thing about the entire abortion issue that I have never been able to understand.

Why is it that by far the most radical, extreme individuals on the issue are men and they don't give birth? Men, not women, do all the violence, the fire bombing, explosives bombing.

Why are they by far the most violent when it is not about their bodies? They say they're protecting the unborn but seem to care less that their violent protest may kill others. Don

I don’t know what you know about abortions, but I’m pretty sure there is no fire involved. At least not here in the USA.

Roe v Wade is settled law. The case was tried, appealed as far as the legal system will allow and was settled.

Doesn’t mean that someone can’t appeal stuff as far as allowed on a different case. However, chances are that the SCOTUS will not hear either side of the argument again.

I am still dumbfounded that people waste so much energy and political points on this topic. Raise your kids to live lives that won’t land them in an abortion clinic and the problem becomes self correcting. On the flip side let the leftist kill their kids off. Those kids will grow up to be wallet leeches or stupid liberals like their parents. It’s like a win win.

Trying hard to not show my ignorance but I thought a law was voted on by Congress and signed into effect by the President.

Of course it is. Anyone who says otherwise has his head up his rear end.

It is also bad law. It is premised on the supposed right to abortion, which is not found in the Constitution. When pressed, its advocates will say that the illusory "right" is grounded on the right to privacy. You know - to privately kill your baby outside the scope of those pesky murder statutes. But that's not in the Constitution either.

So Roe is settled law. No doubt about it. But it is also bad law, and subject to revocation like any other settled law. Remember that the fugitive slave act was settled law, as was the constitutional mandate that black slaves only counted as 3/5 of a white person. Settled law, yet properly overturned.

The "right" to an abortion was not enacted by the Congress and President, but is "common law" or "court made" law. In other words, the U.S. Supreme Court made it up under the guise of interpreting illusory and non-existent constitutional rights. It "legislated from the bench".

Common law is not the same as "court made" law. There are big differences.
Powernoodle is right in that it is well settled law. This means the courts won't do anything to overturn it. It is up to the lawmakers, i.e. Congress, to repeal it or pass a different law.

By the way, there are no "constitutional" rights. The Constitution enumerates some rights, but also allows that there are unenumerated rights. Read it. It's a fascinating document.

Crazy people do crazy things. If it wasn't abortion, they'd find some other cause to do the same crap!

You don't understand it because you're not crazy............yet.

I've also noticed women who are fervently pro-choice, couldn't attract a heterosexual counterpart to achieve their requirement for an abortion in the first place.

Abortion is proceeding exactly the way Margaret Sanger envisioned it -- as a means to control (i.e. limit) the black population. 61% of black deaths are attributable to abortion.

    Case law.

Much like California has a fleeing felon law but it has been restricted by case law requiring some sort of exigency.
