OH MY GOD THAT THING IS AWSOME. EASILY PULLS THE FRONT WHEEL IN THIRD AND I DIDN'T EVEN MEAN TO DO IT. TURNS IN SO FAST IT WILL MAKE YOUR HEAD SPIN. MY FRIEND WILL BE PUTTING TERMIS AND A ECU SOON SO I CAN'T WAIT TO RIDE IT AGAIN. I USED TO HAVE A TLS WITH COMPRABLE POWER BUT FROM SEAT OF THE PANTS I THINK THE 1098 WOULD WIN. NOW ALL I WANT IS FOR DUCATI TO PUT THAT MOTOR INTO A S4RS AND IT WOULD BE MY NEXT BIKE.

Glad you good to ride one. I can only hope to. I did see one at a dealer 2 weeks ago though.

The demo truck is cruising around now. I'm going to meet it in Lenoir City tomorrow.

The seating position is pretty comfortable, almost Japanese like. My back didn't start to hurt until at least 20-minutes into the ride unlike the previous Ducati superbikes where I could barely reach the clip-ons with my fat belly wedged against the tanks.

That engine would be a waste on the Monster. Its chassis was never intended to handle that much power. Ducati would be better off Tuono-ize the 1098. I'd definitely buy one like that.

CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG BUT ISN'T THE MONSTER BASICALLY AN 888 SUPERBIKE CHASSIS AND DIDN'T THE 888 IN RACE FORM HAVE MORE POWER THAN THE 1098?

My understanding is that the Monster frame is copied from, not identical to the race frame. HH

The Monster frame is a design of its own and haven't changed much since it first came out.

The S4s use the the frame from the St series.
