I would have looked up the "How-to guide" on my phone and fired it at a tree then called the cops  "It just went off"

I only wish I could be that lucky. Nothing says, "Get off my lawn!" like explosives.

No real need for a how to guide on your phone. They have pictures on the side of them that show how to operate them.

I'd bet we are talking about a "dud". You don't just leave an extended LAW (Light Anti-Tank Weapon) laying around. I'd bet someone went to fire it in a remote area, it probably fizzled, then they very gingerly laid it down, and took off.

If I was the guy to find it, and if it had just been an empty tube, then I would have seriously thought about keeping it. In this case though, there was an unfired rocket inside. Perhaps it was just sitting in there ready to be fired and would have worked perfectly, or maybe it had been fired and turned out to be a dud that could go off at any time. You just never know when it comes to explosives.

I was thinking a dud as well but why leave it on the side of the road for somebody
    to trip on?

Hmmm.... Reminds me of a scene from a Clint Eastwood movie. I wonder if "Steve" saw that movie?

You and I would be thinking about innocent victims but scumbags don't care.

We had 2 knuckleheads in Savannah a few years ago who got 2 AT-5 anti-tank rockets. They blew up a dumpster with one, and were found with the 2nd unit in their garage. Idiots.

And when I talk with the survivors of things too sickening to relate
If I had a rocket launcher...I would retaliate.

First thought: "That'd be cool to keep..."
Immediate second thought: "Not cool enough..."

With a 10 min block of instruction most people could hit a tank at 100 yds.
With a few of these you might have some fun on Falcon lake. :whistling:

Hey guys, I'm the one that found it. It just wasn't cool enough, it was really rusty. Remember guys I work for the tree company.
