This morning I finished reading HOSTAGE by Robert Crais, an exciting, fast paced story. HOSTAGE departs from most of Crais' novels which feature private detectives Elvis Cole and Joe Pike. The book has been produced as a moving starring Bruce Willis who plays the part of police chief Jeff Talley, so in reading the book I imagined Willis in the role. A good match, I think.

Crais has been one of my favorite authors recently. I've read 10 of his 11 books this year. Crais' 12th novel, The Forgotten Man, is scheduled to debut in February. The Forgotten Man is the newest Elvis Cole novel. I enjoy the development of the same characters from one book to the next. The Last Detective was my favorite. Check out: http://www.robertcrais.com/
