I'm also not sure it was a taser, rather than a stun gun, but it's hard to see.

"Police say the continued tasering could have killed this woman."

WTF? Sounds like a really stupid thing for the police to say - next time they argue that the taser isn't a deadly weapon in court, you think that'll come up?

How about that possibly Hatian accent - maybe one of our many new friends?

It's not a taser being used, it's a stun gun. They work on vastly different principles.

You use a stun gun on me and you are going to hear boom boom.

Out of curiosity, have you been hit with a stun gun?

I have and while it hurts its nothing like a taser. Although I would rather be stunned by those then get shot or pepper sprayed. I could still move with a stun gun but could not with a taser.

Ok, cool. I have not and was just wondering how bad they are compared to tasers. I would imagine that grabbing a gun after being hit with a taser wouldn't be an easy thing to do, but I didn't know how bad a stun gun can incapacitate a person.

    Thanks!

i would consider it a use of deadly force and react as such.

I wasn't questioning your reasoning for defending yourself, but rather if you could have the capacity to pull a gun and fire it while being hit with a stun gun.

Situational awareness. Unless I was caught completely by surprise, as soon as i see ya pull it out,I'm gonna react.

    It a situation I pray i will never be in,but I'm ready.

I carry a taser and have been tased too, its not very pleasant. However, if someone went for my taser Id shoot them no problemo. Same with my baton. It wasnt so long ago we practiced taking the baton back from someone who grabbed it...now we practice letting go the baton and quick drawing and shooting them from the hip...same with the taser...there is no more "retention drill" ) on anything other than ones firearm...everything else is now a reason to shoot them. So be it.
