Leaving Thursday to visit my broker in Orlando area. Driving the whole way with the family.

Any sites to be seen on the way?

Also - I have a PA permit and it's good in Florida. So I can legally transport through all those nasty states, right?

check the pa firearms website. I think you can make it down there while carrying.

My pistols, however, I always kept by me

I drove from CT to FLA a couple times. I used the think it was a terrible drive, at least until I drove from TX to CA. Seeing trees and towns is a whole lot better than endless tumbleweeds and mesas.

I'd never even heard of an Arby's until a CT to FLA road trip. It was the only place around the exit and we thought we'd get some burgers. Their crap was so bad that we left it uneaten and got back on the road. True story.

South of the Border. Don't know why but everytime we drive from RI to FL we stop there and pick up fireworks and stuff on the way back.

I don't think South Carolina recognizes any other states CCW permit. Awesome if this has changed though!

"Visit your broker" eh? Is this so you can deduct the trip to Disney World? ;)

If you are going down 95 then there is a pretty cool "Everything Orange" store in Florida, south of Jacksonville. Orange honey, fresh oranges, all that stuff. Savannah is a great town to stroll through but a bit much for just a quick stop unless you stay the night.

SC will accept a FL permit if it is from a FL resident.
