My favorite song. RIP Mr. Walker
I remember Richard Nixon said it was his favorite song.
I hadn't heard that.
Really enjoyed his music. RIP.
Unfortunately, his vote won’t change now that he’s passed on.

One of the greatest songs of all time.
8 or 9 years ago Jerry Jeff and his band provided the entertainment during my daughter's high school auction/fundraiser.
Or course Jerry Jeff was wonderful but as the night wound down a young boy in the audience with Down Syndrome wanted to sing. As soon as JJ noticed with a big smile he said something like, "young man would come up here and sing with me, it'd make me very happy if you did."
I'll never forget the mental picture of a well known musician letting that little kid have a moment......the boy had an ear to ear grin and his mom was sobbing. JJ and his band made it fun for the kid. He could have brushed the kid off but he didn't.
RIP Jerry Jeff.
