I was debating on another forum whether or not this guy is prejudice or just practicing his second amendment with his new Glock.

How does anyone carry a g26 in their back pocket? Dang thing is a brick loaded. I'd have to stop and pull my pants up every 15ft.

I would think a belt would stop that but I prefer a shoulder holster myself.

Anyway the argument was is the guy considering all Southerners as inbred hillbilly's?

Please do not tell me someone was offended by that. And if someone was, they're more retarded than that video.

No I didn't start the thread and the argument fizzled out but it got me thinking and I did see how the guy could be against Southerners but I'm guilty of the same when I get on a plane with someone that looks like they're from the Middle East or a young punk looking (black or white) guy following behind me at night. It's just human nature and some people you learn to suspect more than others from experience or you will end up dead from ignorance.

For sure, I also think unboxing videos are retarded I'm a Hickok45 kind of guy where I'd rather watch people shooting. Unboxing videos IMO are for people that never seen a Glock not Gen 1 guys like me that have seen these guns inside and out many times.

I remember watching deliverance and it stuck in my mind too but I also know Southern people are usually more friendly than most. I guess I don't trust any strangers and understand some are more suspect than others. Even though Deliverance gave me the willies for me it wasn't enough to start stereotyping people from the South. Not that I can say that is what is being done in that video either.

Sometimes people are just looking for something to be offended about. He said he was carrying it because you never know who you'll run into. He never made any generalizations at all. If you see those Deliverance clips and equate them to southerners in general, maybe you have some deep down bigotry

Heck, I live in the south and rarely go anywhere without a pistol. If it is not physically on me, it is within reach. :dunno:

He was just probably poking some fun. I learned a long time ago to not be offended by stuff like that. In fact, I recommend to anyone traveling down here, to do so armed. No permit needed to have it in your vehicle, loaded and ready to rock. And we are dang near constitutional carry here! :2gun:

I'd of felt a whole lot better if he'd cleared the Glock before snapping the trigger. As far as the 'Deliverance' clip, we have a camp in the middle of nowhere, and make our share of banjo jokes. That said, if I had to count on country folk if I was in a jam, I know I'd be helped. And if they made a Deliverance-like movie about any other ethnic group than Appalachian-Americans, the howls would be heard forever.

Somebody was...(my reason to continue the argument) I think we need to use our brains in this country.
1 Our first amendment permits us to make jokes about any group of people.
2 If you choose to commit crimes or not listen to the police they may harm or even kill you even if it is by accident.
3 We need to regulate how many immigrants we take in if we don't want to be overpopulated like China.
4 We need real jobs producing products for all the people that are able to work in our Country.
5 We need to solve our problems and stop handing out money needed here to other Countries.
6 Most Americans need to get leaner and healthier by keeping pollution restrictions, eating mostly plant based diets, and not being forced to overwork because they are underpaid. Maybe we should learn from other countries that are successful like a work-life balance used in Germany and socialized medicine.
That said I will probably support Trump but I don't like him because of #6

I've never met an inbred country person in too much of a hurry to help someone else. Can't say that about inbred city folk, at least in my experience.

When SHTF happens, I hope I'm still living in the sticks. ;)

A lot of diversified comments, and because of past heroes we are free to express them. I find more tolerance with fewer prejudice remains as years pass, but prejudice that remains is even more granite in its composition.
