Very adventurous. The thing that guy has seen that most of the world population will never see in person, both good and bad.
Need to make it mandatory for our youth to take a road trip through India. Maybe they wouldn't protest so much.

There is a guy on YouTube, goes by Bald and Bankrupt. He travels all over Russia and has gone to India. He speaks the language a bit so to locals are always amazed. They go to some beach areas that are very popular with Russians. It's like $12 a night for a hotel room on the beach. It's not a fancy hotel but looks interesting for the adventurous.

One thing I noticed, the U.S. seems to be the only place I've heard Aircon referred to as "AC"

I never heard of "aircon" before this thread.
The US is still the only nation to put a man on the moon.

Yes, I watch this guy as well. Last one I watched, he shows up in a small town, is walking around and strikes up a conversation with a guy walking around with his dog. They end up going to a grocery store and peruse the aisles full of different Vodka brands, and buy a brand called Krystal because "it won't give you a headache in the morning" said the local guy. Anyway, they go over to another guys house. They all get tipsy, play guitar and fiddle and have a good time...Russian homeboy variety. Fun to watch other cultures party.

The same guy rode from Alaska through Canada to the east coast of the USA back across to California then down through Mexico, central America, south America to Argentina. He's had some other interesting trips as well.

I actually like India. Been there a half dozen times. It’s not a resort destination, that’s for sure. But it is absolutely real. It’s not like the US. In India, poor people are skinny. They’re not skinny because hey have a $1000 a week meth habit. They’re skinny because they have no food.

My travels in India allow me to gleefully wave to beggars in the US, and drive right on by with a perfectly clear conscious. Simply put: There are no poor people in the US.
    Broke? Yes. But not poor.

Americans should at least see actual poverty in-person.

I second this. Same experience I had when visiting places like the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Then you go to some place like Singapore which is skewed to the far opposite end of the spectrum.

Give me an Indian MD vs an American black MD any day of the week. One had to be better than 1 billion + people looking to get out of a crap hole, the other had to be good enough to get an affirmative action slot already set aside for them.
The real fallout of AA, everyone knows they might be good enough.

I wonder if he ever got his motorcycle. I am just imagining that "crating" place selling it before he got out of sight.

My kids turned me onto him. Hops on a bus, train or car and goes to the poorest Russian/former Russian country and meets people. The Belarus ventures were good. Very eye opening. Once again, $10-$15 hotels. I watched that episode you are talking about. It's amazing how entertaining it is, all with a small camera/GoPro and his cheap converse sneakers.

I just finished a fiction book by James Patterson that is set in India. The descriptions of the life there read like this video.
