Go ahead you''ll be glad you did!
You may even do better than you think.
Now for the bad news...
Gentlemen, I regret to inform you but it seems that I'll have to miss this year's Richmond GSSF shoot as I will be in the service of our country, training to take my place as an advisor to an Iraqi light infantry battalion. I've got two weeks training 23 Apr-6 May and then the activation shortly aferwards. This will probably preclude me from participating at Waldorf too. Besides, my GSSF membership is up on 17 Apr and I've only got a short time to aquire the funds to buy several hundred dollars worth of much needed equipment for my upcoming deployment (GPS, good holster- Safariland 6004, 3 point sling, good lights, some other comfort items, etc.). Spending $35 and then $25 per match all of a sudden got expensive. I'm going to try and go to Anderson with Sandman_NC and I'm planning on making it a mini-vacation for me and the wifee (Lisa82) too.
I hope to return to the States, in the same or better condition than I'll leave it in, sometime in later '06.
If I can get on the (GT)net while over there I'll try to peek in and post a story and a pic or two.
Good luck and stay safe. After 2 1/2 years in Southeast Asia I can fully appreciate your situation. We will keep you in our thoughts and Prayers, afterall we are one big family.;c ;? ;? ;?
Thanks a million coach!!!
come back safe bro.
Our prayers are with you sir.
Thanks to everyone for your understanding during this week long ordeal! The Cavalier BOD approved this GSSF event so we are back on schedule and looking forward to seeing all of you in April!
and to all of you that will say so in the future. (If not me, then who? ..will have to go in my place.. ?)
Seems I'm closing a circle; my Dad was an advisor 43 years ago (1962) for South Vietnamese rangers. Little did I know that I'd be doing this at 41 years of age (and almost 20 years after I left the Eighty Deuce as an 11Bang-bang)!
Thank you and stay safe! Hope to meet you at future GSSF matches.;?
