Our first 2003 GSSF match of the season! Boy, was I 'rusty'!
We drove approximately 580 miles from Rochester, NY to the Cavalier Range and had a GREAT amount of FUN!
Our "Upstate New York group" started the match with a warm greeting from Grand Master Glocker David Sevigny and Sidearmor Team Coach Danny Ryan at the registration area!
Upstate New York Group:
Darryl Lapp (new GSSF member and 1st GSSF match!)
Jim Gommenginger (new GSSF member and 1st GSSF match!)
The match was a BLAST! We all commented on how competent and friendly the RO's were at the Cavalier Sportsman Club. Thanks to everyone that worked the match... you are the best!
Here's a group picture of us with the Coach and David Sevigny:
Richmond 5TG RO's:
Here is the bunch of RO's that ran us through the 5TG... they were so nice and friendly!
Left to right:
Margie, Dave (blocked behind Margie), Sam, Dave Perkins, Dean and Nina
Sorry there Dave for taking the pic with you being blocked...
Dean (white shirt) is definitely an experienced RO.. he was SUPER-COOL running us through... believe me, he's done this before...
Do you recognize these guys?
Glock Armorer DOUG!
One of my two favorite Glock Armorers (the other is Yoda from Fulton, NY)... this is the young Yoda...
Check out Doug's expression while holding my Unlimited Glock... what do you think he's thinking? Hummmm... he wouldn't tell me but a picture is worth a thousand words....
Check out this high-tech picture... a portable laptop pc at the registration desk!... Vickie and Jackie have left their mark! Bruce has carried on the GSSF tradition!
Check out the Glock M!
RO's: Chad, Stan, Derek and Donnie... (great bunch of guys!)
The STACK MASTER!
Super Cool Dude: Jim Wilson on the "Glock M"
Nathan Thomas with his Glock 27 shooting the 5TG... can a subcompact Glock really compete well in Am/Civ? Yep!
Jimmy (Gommenginger)... don't worry, NO ONE will know that you are shooting a Glock instead of a 1911 this weekend... no one back home will EVER KNOW that you are here in Richmond shooting a GLOCK match with a Glock 22... no one needs to know... it will be our little secret... okay??? ;f ;a ;e ;c ;c ;c
Hey... can anyone tell me if a Glock 22 is a "series 70" or "Series 80"?
This was Jim's first GSSF match... I think we got another GSSF convert!
Anyone want to know what one of the 5TG stages looked like in the 2003 GSSF match in Richmond?
Here it is being engaged by Dan Cignarale's Glock 21... Big Gun used by a Big "H"-man!
Happy Anniversary (19th) to a very COOL Couple: Mr. and Mrs. Cignarale!
Check out what happened to Darryl Lapp from Upstate NY... this was his very first GSSF match and after it was all over, this happened... very bizarre..
Darryl, I am truly sorry that I did not get a chance to take a pic of you while you were shooting... I was pre-occupied... I will make sure that the next GSSF match... if you ever go again, okay?
Buddy and Coach Danny Ryan totally stressed out about the horrible weather on Sunday and how the match was being run... it's scary that these guys can generate so much stress over a simple Glock match... they should really try to chill out and relax.
Here's a pic of our Coach (Danny R) with Match Director Scott Gilbertson!
Coach, please say HI to Martha for us!
We hope to see her at one of the matches this year!
Man did the traffic suck coming back to Jersey (Mostly to pay tolls).
Anyone was friendly, I believe I shot my best match yet. Range when faster then last year. Rain held off.
I pic is of a kid that was shooting fast and accurate. (I'm sure he out shot me)!
Dan & Pete comming back form the plates and both are smiling.
