I assume you meant Richmond, VA . I grew up near Richmond, CA and never heard of any GSSF or other such events occurring there. That and the fact that you are in Virginia.

I can say for sure that they have GSSF matches in Richmond, CA. This weekend as a matter of fact.

Really?!! It must be at the Rod and Gun Club. That's crazy, considering the anti-gun climate of Kalifornia and how crime-ridden Richmond and it's half unincorporated Northern contingent is (not that Richmond, VA is any better...I understand it is quite the hole itself, in parts).

They have it every year.. great club..

IPSC matches twice a month.. shooting sports are very popular in California.

It is indeed the Richmond Rod and Gun Club of Richmond, California, and for the 13th consecutive year.

I went to the match today (Sunday), late morning. This time, my wife and daughter came along to watch. My wife plans to compete in next year's match with her G19. Two others from Adobe Systems competed, and we formed a team (Adobe Shooters). One shot yesterday, and two of us shot today.

The good news is that I did ten seconds better than my previous match, and my shooting pattern is that I always shoot better than the previous match. That's the right pattern, I think.

I shot my G20, as I always do at the GSSF Matches I attend. It may be somewhat of a handicap, but I like the year-to-year consistency, and the fact that I am able to consistently shoot better than the previous year.

Once again, the Davis Street Regulars shot the Richmond match. My team members used G17s and I shot my G37 for the first time in GSSF, using my reloads (also a first -- I've always used factory ammo in previous matches). Our Glocks ran perfectly (so what else is new?) and we had a GREAT time!

The first picture is Yours Truely, loading magazines.

Here's the team: me, Chris Cabug and Bill Chan.

If we all calculated correctly, it looks as though the Davis Street Regulars will have an A-C team score below 300 seconds. Not too shabby! Congratulations and thanks to my team.

Next year, we'll be back -- and we'll do better!

Shot three times (Civ, Comp and Master Stock), shot like crap in Master stock, but the other two went fairly good.

Was that your daughter driving around in the cart? :)

Managed to get my gf to come, but still too early to get her to shoot. Maybe next year...

Our AC team, Adobe Shooters, placed second!

But, then again, there seems to have been only two AC teams that were registered... :animlol:

Nope, but I know who you're talking about. I think she is the daughter of one of the GSSF staff.

That was my first GSSF match. It was a lot of fun, makes me want to shoot that steel at davis even more. I had one jam up with factory loads on 5 to glock, it cost me almost two seconds, but I didn't ask for a reshoot on the string. The GSSF staff is the best, it was all the good folks at richmond and glock techs. I'm gonna go to Piru in November...
