    Our new puppy - he's a ridgeless ridgeback -- couldn't afford the ridge!! ;P

Our 1st RR had to be put down late last winter at 13y/o due to an injury which left him w/ hindquater paralysis.

Oh SWEET! What's his name? Did you get him via rescue, or from a breeder? I'm going to guess you will neuter him, as ridgeless is not a 'breed standard'.

We've got two RR mixes. I love 'em!

Hi and thanks for the Puppy compliments.

His name is "Arthur" (or Artie or pupppypuppy or hey!) :)

We are not sure if we'll have him neutered yet. If we breed him it will be with something like a boxer -- we just love thier personality (RR) and don't care too much about shows or the 'breed standards'.

We bought him from a breeder in Virginia - she had 3 ridgeless puppies in the last litter and we had our pick of the three. We tried to adopt through the rescue site but never recieved a response from our application so we got tired of waiting a tracked this one down. All of the ridged animals we located were $1200 and up -- more than we payed for our horses -- so it was tough to justify that price. He was $400. A lot, some may say, but it was what we were willing to spend for another pup of a different breed.

Anyway thanks again for the cudos -- we're pretty happy with him!

    ;f
