I have Word 2007. Does anyone know how to return all settings to default?
If you're talking about the "new and improved" look I think you are stuck with it. I had Office 2007 installed a couple of months ago and I hated the new look, I searched the web for several hours and couldn't find a way to change it ... I went back to Office 2003.
No, I like the new look. I just want to reset all settings to default.
You need to be more specific, what settings?
I want every single last setting to be back to original default. As if it had just been freshly installed.
I lent my computer to my fiancee's aunt....I don't even know what she did, but she royally screwed some things up. I just want everything reset.
That would be an obvious fix.
I'm sure there is a much easier solution. Anyone?
I purchased and install Microsoft Office 2007 and installed it on a machine that I bought in Dec of '06. Since that machine had a trial version of Office 2003, I did not own 2003 and did a clean install of Office 2007. Strangest thing happened with my Outlook Express. The spell checker was checking the spelling in the French language. After a lot of frustration I find out that OE does not have a spell checker itself and uses the one from Word, but the new Word does not communicate with OE and I was stuck in French. If you update 2003 to 2007 you won't have this problem since the 2003 dictionary will carry over, but if you do a clean install of O 2007 you are screwed. I finally had to do a custom install from my Office 2000 software that I owned to be able to have OE spell check in English but what a pain in the rear. They said that if I updated to Vista, I wouldn't have had these problems, but I want to wait until vista is out longer before I make the change.
i did a full install of vista and office 07 enterprise and it works fine but I use outlook instead of outlook express
