No question that 401Ks will become a target under the Obama administration.

Doesn't pay interest... but I'm the only one that knows the combination.

Come to think of it banks don't pay much interest either .5%.... maybe.

I get it but point in fact the only reason you "own" this land is the government says you do.

Case in Point: my former hunting land. We hunted the same acreage my uncle, a very wealthy farmer, "owned" since 1976. It has a swamp, about 40 tillable acres he grew corn on but the rest of it consisted of a gravel pit and land way too hilly to develop. He got the land as part of a large tract purchase.

    Then the DNR steps in

They had been buying land in this area for decades. When it got to the point they owned everything except this one section I give you one guess what happened. My uncle's political connections meant he received money for it but far below what he felt it was worth.

As far as 401Ks. The Federal government has been toying with the idea of a National Annuity for years...we have nationalized healthcare...this would be the next logical step.

The guns I will give you....

The gun safe was not just for guns.... cash, silver, and gold.... banks don't pay much interest.

Your point on land is well taken .... so it is a good idea to have two or three tracks of land separated by a few miles that are suitable for growing food... meat and taders and burying stuff if you want to.
