First off, I want to thank the guys fomr Customized Creationz for both the outstanding work and quick turn around.

I sent them a G17 slide & barrel mid January.

    Took delivery yesterday.

See for yourself the results. (sorry for the crappy photos, all I had was my crackberry) IMHO, worth every penny. They even did the underside of the slide and the barrel. The whole thing looks simply incredible!!!

    Original G17 slide.

(the old slide I sent in was EXACTLY THE SAME as the one in the picture ... came from the same police range and their serial numbers are only 200 apart)

Looks nice. You will have to update us how the Cerakote wears over time.

That looks fantastic. Are you having anything done to the frame?

Frame is tupperware... don't need to paint that. :tongueout:

Seriously, the frame is only slightly worn in just one or two areas. I thought about sending it in, but, its really the slides that needed the TLC.

The "Sig Black" is a bit darker than current factory finishes, but, it appears to wear well enough.

I racked the slide 100 times to see if there was any apparent wear on the barrel. ZERO!!!

I even took my hose key and ran it across the underside of the slide. ZERO!!!

And the new sights looks fantastic on it as well.

I'm glad to know that the cerakote passed your early tests so well. I was curious about the frame because I kind of had the bug to buy a old beat up glock, and then have it cut down to G19 length grip with stippling and backstrap reduction, maybe front cocking serrations, and a new finish. The problem is that the cheapest I've seen one on gunbroker was about $310+30 shipping. Compare to $398+tax for a new one with the GSSF certificate. Though honestly the cost of that amount of custom work would totally overwhelm the cost of the actual gun. Anyway, I'll have to bookmark Customized Creationz in case I do ever decided to have something cerakoted. Enjoy your pistols.
