Found a Glock 22 .40 cal. mag. with a unusual “249” marking. I assume some agency marked this but first one I have seen. Any experts have any thoughts? CEC10AF7-B8F2-49D7-8AE9-BC3F2FF053EA.jpeg 3E0F9FC9-D10D-41DF-BFBD-7B839BDA4808.jpeg F4A20264-30F3-4CE3-AAC5-CD818D16890C.jpeg

Never seen that before. Perhaps an overzealous agency that wanted to keep track of every dangerous extreme capacity mag?

Very probably. That is all moot now, so clean it and use it.

Oh...it certainly will join the rotation...
just thought they we’re unusual markings...and looked like professionally stamped.

Probably the last three digits of the serial number of the gun it was issued with.

ASSUMING that the status quo stays the same, I suspect that decades from now AWB era “high capacity” mags will be collectible, so in that regard I think they’re worth hanging on to. Not as many were made given the limited market.

Some of our guys mark their mags with their badge numbers.
