Rescue Squad Crew Chief - the New Look

    Above is a picture of Leah, age 21, EMT-Basic. She is a VOLUNTEER rescue squad crew chief. She had just responded to a 'difficulty breathing, possible coronavirus' call and is returning to the rig.

    Leah buys her own uniforms. As a VOLUNTEER she receives no health insurance or pay. She risks her life on every call.

    Thank God we have people like Leah.

    I must admit, at first glance at the photo, I thought that was a Louis Vuitton bag she was carrying. Lol. Some stereotypes are just hard to shake...

    Outstanding young lady, as it turns out. Perhaps this country has a future after all! :cheers:

    I started off as a volunteer and was lucky enough to turn it into a career. There’s a whole lot of dedicated professional volunteers in Fire/EMS. And the cover the biggest part of our country.

    You show me a volunteer who does it because they have answered a calling to serve their community and I’ll show you one of the best care takers in the whole world.
