Twist/pull the old sight out with a pair of pliers.

Put the new sight in place. Drive the "funky little pin" into the bottom of the sight. It will spread the bottom of the sight to hold it in place. If you look at the bottom of the sight you'll be able to tell where to drive the pin.

Thanks. That's what it looked like to be but when I checked in the PTOOMA book they mentioned a Glock crimp on front sight tool.

If you have one of the Glock metal front sights then it must be crimped in place using the crimping tool. Glock also recommends the use of an adhesive in conjunction with the crimp.

Most other manufacturers who make metal front sights for the Glocks use a screw to anchor the sight.

If you scout around for folks replacing current production Glock sights, they are now screw on, and should be readily available
