Hi, Im a first time poster here and wanted to solicit some advice for replacing my pistol that was stolen.

I had a colt .45 Government Issue Mark IV that was stolen from my house while I was at work. The insurance said they would replace it for current value, do any of you have ball park figures I could give them. It was given as a gift and I figure it was worth between $500 & $600.

I am looking at replacing it with a Glock 22 (considering applying for the FBI in a year so I figured I should begin training with their service pistol) or possibly a HK USP .40.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide me.

I think it is worth more than that unless it was a beater....

Depends on several things but the guys in the Model 1911 forum would be a good resource. Repost this question there....
