I looked at one a while back I actually like it, that seems like an ok price to me since around here they go for $400.00 new.

It is not an 870. It is an 887 and a mistake. These models will not be around long so if you want to get stuck with one now is the time to get it.

The 887 was a sporting model and brought out due to the Nova taking some of the 870 market share. It flopped with the sporting crowd so the pin heads at Remington said " let's put some tacti-fool mess on it and call it a Tactical 'cause those guys will buy anthing based on looks". This must be true or we would not be addressing this in this post.

As always, JD speaks the truth. There are many good reviews about the lackluster performance of this shotgun. I have shot the sporting model and was unimpressed. Stick with the 870, no matter the variant.

    fasteddie is spot on.

The 887 was/is a turd. I can't think of anyone who actually bought one and still enjoys using it. Just look at it and mutter, "Who would be dumb enough to buy this thing? Why wouldn't they just buy an 870?"
