Remington 1911R1 Enhanced model, what's the word on this one?

    I'm not sure there are any owners yet, but I handled one this week at my local shop. It seemed OK, but it also seemed a bit overpriced. At the price I saw, its going to compete head to head with the SA Range Officer and that's not a good thing.

    Ya the only thing that it has better over the RO is finish

    I agree with bac, I saw one Thursday at the gunshop and it was $30 less than the Range Officer that they had there. If I had the money I would of walked out with the RO.

    $860 at my LGS, good or bad?

    There's no way that gun should be over $800. I think my LGS had it at $809 or so.

    I've held a couple of regular R1's and I wasnt impressed.
