I was driving in an area where I used to live and had flashbacks of where the Arthur Treachers was and a Caribou now sits.
I miss that fish! Great batter!;1

    Arthur Treacherous?

Man, there's one down by where I live in VA.

    I always avoid it!

Ate at an AT in NJ twice, got sick twice.

ok...here's one of the weirdest stories you'll hear.

i used to really like arthur treacher's when they first opened up around here back in the early 70s. used to go there a lot.

then one day i went in to get something and there was this guy in there. he turned around and he looked like his face just came through a fire. the guy was pretty hideous looking.

i changed my mind about getting something to eat that day and i have NEVER eaten at arthur treacher's since then.

and that was way back in 1973.

I never ate there, but I do remember him on a regular on the Merve Griffin show back in the 50's or 60's. The saddest thing I remember was that he said he was the only soldier to return alive from his village in World War 1.

my Mom, God rest her Soul, loved Arthur Treachers fish for it had a great crust which she loved and wonderful white juicy fish filets. It was one of her favorite places to go out and get fast food which i think she loved the most. She also loved Orange Julius and their Kabasi Dogs, and a couple of local places called Merrit Canteen for their Burgers and Drum-Stik Bar-B-Q for their Souther Fried Chicken Breasts, B-B-Q Spare Ribs and classic Green Cole Slaw. But i think she did love Arthur Treachers the best especially with their vinegar sauce to dip her fish into. Great Post and Stirred memories of times with my Mom. thank you for that.
