I'm in the market for a new software program for reloading, and upon looking around, I see there are a TON of them out there now. SO, I'd like to hear from folks who have and use one or more reloading software programs, or who have been doing the research on what features different programs have.

I think this would be something useful for many readers here, and this is a great way to get a comparison without spending beaucoup dollars to try them all ourselves...

Not sure what you are looking for, internal ballistics, external ballistics or both. For internal I use QuickLoad and Load From a Disk. QL is great, LFD not so much. For external I use QL or Point Blank (free).

hehe. Sorry. Yes, I mean programs that will calculate velocity, pressure, basically internal and external ballistics. Something that would estimate that stuff PLUS starting-load data for wildcats (something I'd set the parameters for, not something that already has the usual wildcats in it's database) would be a huge plus.

Does QuickLoad do that? I know all of the above features (and many more) are available in some company's software, but does one of them surpass all the others?

I have used the Sierra Infinity Ballistic Software purchused several years ago. Neat to play with but have not used it for sometime now.

Its only deals with Exterior Ballistics

Yes, but as far as I know QL is the only program that does. Please list some of the "many more" programs that are available that can calculate internal ballistics.

I use both quick load and the Sierra program. They dont run with a Mac, but I ran boot camp and took care of that.
