Got lucky and found some Federal Gold Medal LPP's locally, $44/1000, not bad.
SNS casting has my favorite bullet back in stock, the 45 auto 200 grain coated SWC-NLG, ordered 500. My USP loves them. About 11¢ each after shipping, again, I can live with that.
Good luck and good hunting (for components).

Posting availability of primers right now is kinda pointless. They are gone in minutes, not hours.

Well, locally classifieds moved 5k Win SP mag primers for $550!

    For sale is

    Magtech SR primers $120/k
    Retumbo $150 per POUND
    Used RCBS 223 dies $110

$100/1k has been the going rate and the ads don't stay up long.

    Ridiculous.

If you're like me and load 357 sig what I've also done is bought .40 ammo, pulled the projectile and powder, formed the brass and load it for 357 sig.... so you get two types of ammo availability in one!

Not sure that makes economical sense, just buy once fired brass & reload that?

I haven't done it much, only to see how well it works or if there are any issues.

The reason I mention it is because some places are asking absurd prices for primers - and if there are no primers around I'd at least like to have the option of resizing .40.

I can appreciate that. I would look instead for obsolete or useless calibers at garage sales or even lgs, like 25acp, 32acp, break those down for primers, but that is pretty extreme. I would do that for shtf though, scavenge anything & i can make handgun ammo out of it.

The kiddies pulled down at least 395K primers from Midway on Saturday night (reported orders that went through)...cases of 5K lasted quite awhile.

Bass Pro is the other place to check...primer inventory is definitively on the up-tick. Each night they are putting some out there, but the kids are pounding them so you have to hustle.

Even when the 100 packs hit, despite the premium, they are crushing it.

"Muhammad's" third order tonight...scares me (and probably the ATF watching his house):

Any sane ‘gun/hunter’ person should have a scattering of ammo around for hunting or ‘home defense’. It may not be time to load up 3k pistol rounds. To just fill a few pistol magazines or sight-in then hunt with your 30-06, a non-issue.

I don’t see this shortage lasting forever, just another cycle. Remember the glut we were in 1+ year ago?

-95 grain FMJ from various vendors... RMR, montana etc.

-125 grain JHP from same suppliers

-Also looking at zinc casts (instead of lead) as pure lead cast cant survive at anywhere near the 2200fps out of the 357 sig carbine. Will still use lead for fat and slow stuff.

Edit: i dont use plated stuff.

Have you tried powder coated lead with a gas check? Rifle guys do that all day long. Many of them with traditional lube.

Here we go again. My last run 3 months ago, plenty for another 6 months unless I cut back.

Used up every bit of my primers and powder. Not gonna pay through the nose

If primers are becoming available that’s a good sign. Even if people with programs are snatching them up, sooner or later they will run out of funds.
What good is snatching primers when most wont pay those inflated prices?

I went to Gun Broker today to see if I could place any of the known kiddies to some of the auction listings...couldn't, but surprised at the prices!!!!

At this rate, I wouldn't bet on the "sooner or later they will run out of funds" assertion; I wouldn't be surprised to see returns like this compelling them to quadruple their efforts (and money):

    Wow.

Not to mention how do individuals send primers HM??? When people start payin $500 per 1000, I might be a seller.
