Why is it, even though I am logged in and cleared to post, when doing so it is rejected. I have had this happen many times, usually when I am posting a lengthy reply. It wastes a lot of time when trying put a lot of thought into something that I want to communicate clearly only to have it go up in smoke.

Vbulletin has a setting where if you remain idle too long, you will be timed out (it thinks you left the forum because you were inactive too long). This happens sometimes when you are posting a long message...I think the default timeout is like 900 seconds. This can be changed by the Admin if there is a large problem with other users as well.

Forgot to add...a good idea when posting a very long message is to copy and paste the message once you finish typing it, then click the submit button. This way you have the message saved incase you get timed out. I do this all the time just in case :)

Frequently hit CTRL A then CTRL C. If it times out on you, go to repost and hit CTRL V.
