I'm going camping with some friends this weekend at Red River Gorge which is in the Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky. A federal website I found http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/boone/law/rules.shtml#fireworks
contains a section on fireworks/firearms regulations, which only mentions that:

"Firing a gun is not allowed: (1) in or within 150 yards of a residence, building, campsite, developed recreation site, or occupied area; (2) across or on a road or body of water; or (3) in any circumstance whereby any person may be injured or property damaged."

I am assuming this means that taking my G19 with me this weekend is legal. If anyone knows this to be true, or untrue, please let me know.

    Thanks.

I've been to the Gorge a number of times with a gun. You shouldn't have any problems at all...
