How big is to big for a red dot sight for GSSF match.
I have a Optima w/7mil dot (ok, actually it's the wife's 24c) which I find a little small for me (old eyes).
I am now going to do a G17L with C-More sight. Would like to go to 16 mil dot.
    Comments please.
Generally the gun will be used for pin shots, and general plinking, with maybe a GSSF match once a year.

I would go with an 8min c-more 16min is to big for the 5- glock and the glock M.

I think you'll be real unhappy with a 16MOA, especially when shooting at a 25 yard target with the A & B ring only being 8" in diameter.

If I had to go with one dot size I think 8MOA would be it. With my PDP5 I use the 8 for the 5 to Glock and M and 16 for the plates.

Most people seem to shoot a 7 or 8 but I much prefer a 10.

FYI, dots are measured in Minutes of Angle (MOA) not Mils.

Get one of the adjustable dot size scopes and use the one you need for the job.
I understand there are still a couple out there being made even though my favorite, the PDP5 is no longer made.

Small dot for stages with far targets in it and large dots for close up work like the plates.
