Here's the scoop. I want to record on my computer a program every night on XM radio. I have a SKy-Fi radio that feeds line in to the computer.

Does anyone know of some simple software that will record audio by scheduled time?

    Other solutions?

But, what about ethics? What about the children? You're making a copy of stuff. OMG! ;P

Wait, sorry. Wrong thread. Fair use-must drill it into my brain. Just needed to vent.

Anyway, I think Power Record indicated in Washington, D.C.'s link above should do the trick for you. :)

XM uses the aacPlus (HF-AAC) algorithm. The sound quality is downright disgusting as it is (it sounded even worse today in the car), so I would be careful when compressing your recordings. It's just like a cassette tape...you're copying a copy, so it's prone to even further degradation.
