Hey guys, I was hoping you could clear up something for me. I recently got a Glock 26 for my CCW and I love it! But I keep seeing all kinds of things on forums and YouTube about cleaning do's and dont's for Glock's. I think I've figured out a pretty good combination for the cleaning and lubrication overall, but should I be lubricating my recoil spring? It seems to me like that would be super important, but hardly anybody recommends that you do so. I would think that spring should be lubed to prevent rust or oxidation. What's the official word on that? Also, do you guys ever clean the receiver with a cleaner or lube? I've been just brushing it vigorously and using a toothpick and Q-Tip for the hard to reach places. I would think that it would need to be sprayed out occasionally, but most YouTube tutorials advise against it. I am using that one drop of Rem Oil on the end of the receiver that the Glock manual recommends though... Sorry if these questions are really stupid. I'm new to the world of firearms, and it seems like Glock's require a different care and maintenance than most other guns out there. Thanks a lot!!
