Does anyone know if non-neutered mags are going to be available for sale at GSSF matches? I imagine initially it would just be LE-marked mags, but that would be okay too.

I guess I'll find out for sure at Hallsville this weekend.

I'll post what I find out.

None of the GSSF matchs I've been to have had merchandise for sale. Bad move IMHO. I cant imagine I'd leave a match w/ out a Glock shirt, Glock thong, bench mat, spare parts/mags, etc if they had them for sale. I cant imagine that it wouldent be a money maker for them. FWIW they also ought to have a bay set up where you fire all the different models.

There were 3 different vendors at Statesville, NC last weekend. I do expect hi-caps to be available in Conyers. Good thing I have a large van, good old GSSF-1;)

A Glock thong? Wonder if we could talk WalterGA into modeling it? ;P

Seriously, Wulf has an excellent idea; Glock should sell merchandise at GSSF matches. Goodies for Glock groupies! (I'll pass on the thong but give me one of them Gaston tank-tops.)

All the matches I've been to, there's always been someone there selling merchandise. But the biggest question is " How fast can Glock start suppling us again, with the hi-cap magazines " ?

Since they never really stopped making them ( LE only ), all they have to do is stop marking them LE-Only. I just hope the price stays the same as the 10 rd mags.

The suggestions are nice, but think about the problems of implementation:

    1. Extra employee just to sell merchandise (labor plus travel expense.

    2. Extra travel expense for transporting or shipping merchasdise to each match and back to Smyrna.

    3. Sales tax permits for each State visited. Glock is not in the retail business.

    4. display table(s) and canopy.

    5. It would discourage other vendors from coming to matches.

GSSF often has to transport a plate rack or two, targets, scoring equipment, hats and shirts for RO's, armorer's supplies in addition to personal baggage.

Good solution: Encourage more vendors to contact GSSF to obtain permission to display their merchandise at matches.

I've attended the Richmond, CA GSSF match two years'running, on Sunday both times. There were NO vendors either time. If Glock doesn't want to sell directly, independent vendors should be encouraged to supply the unmet needs of rabid Glockaholics. Is there some way to stimulate this?

    Gary,

Find a local, large dealer that participates in the Stocking Glock Dealer Program and see if they are interested in attending next year's match. If so, have them contact GSSF in Smyrna by phone, mail or FAX.

Update! They were selling mags there. They were going for a whopping $10 each.

See the complete thread in the GSSF forum here.

I've seen multiple vendors at all three locations I've been to GSSF shoots: Richmond, VA; Waldorf, MD; and Statesville, NC.

Sounds like you "left coasties" might want to get your vendors in line! :)
