The local media has been saying that filming of Transformers 3 is going to block traffic on 3rd St., 4th St., Independence Ave., and Constitution Ave., for several days this week.

When my wife and I were leaving town today, there was a HUGE crowd gathered to watch the filming.
TV camera crews, the whole nine yards.

We saw a big tarp thrown over a yellow car, and guessed that this tarp was keeping 'Bumble Bee' clean before the shooting begins.

WRONG!!!!!! The accident had just happened a couple of minutes before we passed 3rd Street, on Independence Avenue.

I'll bet the guy driving "Bumble Bee" was thinking, "Now, that police SUV is not in the script. What the. . . . . . ." CRASH!

they wanted to keep the crime scene clean ?:dunno::dunno: or "nothing to see here " tarp lol / im guessing the film crew did not want folks taking embarassing photos of their crashed car.

In a technical sense, doesn't that video show the car crashing into the cop? ;)

Ah well.... a Camaro doesn't look right without body damage or a spot of primer or rust on it somewhere.

I agree. The cop may have "crashed" the scene, but the driver of the Camaro crashed into the cop.

Hope the dog is ok. The dogs don't have seat belts in those cages in the back.

According to the local ABC affiliate, DC police have authority and acted appropriately by going down a closed street, while running a 'priority' call, IF that closed road is in the shortest route to the destination.

The police vehicle was running his emergency apparatus at the time of the accident.
HE had the Right of Way.

    Damn Decepticons...

The cop should have steered to the rear. Of course, then, he would have t-boned the Camaro.

    The Camaro lost that battle.

There was a miss in LE communication, somewhere. Shocking.

The crew can cover the car if they want, we already saw it!
