I always hated that "Three R's" thing- the Readin', 'riting 'rithmetic...

I always thought the Three R's should be changed to WAR- Writing, Arithmetic, and Reading. At least then everything is spelled correctly with none of that apostrophe BS.

I wonder how many people have employers who will grant them paid leave under these circumstances?

    Politics - judges, prosecutors
    Law enforcement
    union gigs.

If I did anything even REMOTELY retarded as that my boss would can me in a second.

In fact if my boss ever heard I was even in a bank, I might get a pay cut...since he might get the impression he's paying me too much to be taking extra to the bank!

I would guess that she had paid leave time on the books, and that is what she gets to use. The teacher's unions work pretty well for the teachers.

Plus...the "Innocent until proven Guilty" is probably what they have to go by here as well.

    Just saying.

This is an unproven assertion. Perhaps she needed hush money.

The teacher's unions don't work pretty well to protect teachers. The teacher's unions are accessory to their crimes.

I was once arrested, and the case was thrown out by the judge as being completely without merit.

I was fired immediately when I returned to work, on time, the following morning.

Employers aren't held to the "innocent until proven guilty" standard. I actually appreciate this aspect of the teacher's union. People shouldn't lose their jobs simply because they've been arrested.

Just heard the local news update on WRKO internet radio out of Boston that she "is a heavy gambler". Sounds like Mohegan Sun casino found another sucker..

People get desperate when they rack up gambling losses. Last year one of the women that worked at the 'retirement village" that my mother lives in got busted for stealing money from the residents...another gambler who lost thousands on the slot machines. I just can't understand the thrill of playing above what you can afford to lose and write off as a nights entertainment.:dunno:

So I wonder if she is out of prison yet?

Some good folks in this thread!
