That's about what I thought, especially about the ending.
Definitely not a movie I'd watch twice.
The Last Narc, on Amazon Prime;
It's about the kidnapping, torture and murder of DEA agent Kiki Camarena in Mexico, by drug cartel leaders, Mexican politicians and a CIA agent.
Very eye-opening that the actions of the US Government (via the CIA) ended with this gruesome torture and murder of Kiki.
It's a good watch.....although disturbing.
"After Life" with Liam Neeson and Christina Ricci.
Dark, tense, and disturbing. Well done imo. 8/10
I would not watch it again, however.
Heifetz is likely the greatest violinist in history, but like in sports there's no way to judge "the greatest" from different eras, especially when video and sound weren't available when many legends were performing.
Is that the one where the white guy goes to a third world country and ends up on a killing spree while mass murdering a bunch of police who were just doing their jobs? Yeah, lots of action in that one.
Unhinged with Russel Crowe.......6/10.......Recently divorced Crowe pushed over the edge has a run in with a me-me-me millennial and things go south from there. I am quite sure they wanted me to sympathize with the millennial mom, but I kinda saw Crowe’s perspective, crazy as it was. Entertaining but not great.
Tenet ........7/10. Pace and action reminded me of a Bond flick. Overall a good story, albeit exceedingly complicated sci fi time manipulating theme. Great violence, but with a great twist due to manipulation of the flow of time. You have to be on your toes to pick up all the bread crumbs they leave along the way. In the end, good story, good characters, very entertaining. PS: I usually don’t care for Robert Pattinson , but actually found his acting very good in this film. Kenneth Branagh was excellent as usual.
So you missed the part where the police were working for the bad guys and actually kidnapped the kid in the first place?
Jamie Foxx and all the SJW naratives packed into one
Fantastic Four - 2015, with Kate Mara. 2 out 10....
Whew. flipping through the interetherwebfireststicknet looking for something, figured I'd re-watch Fantastic Four to give it another chance. I "remembered" it as a forgettable movie.
Wow boring. I watched all the way through the first time I watched it, this time I only made it to 26 minutes before I gave up.
That movie sure takes itself seriously, doesn't it.
All the police are corrupt or just their bosses? Maybe the regular officers were just doing what they're told.
I know, I think too much. Kill 'em all, let God sort 'em out.
Bad Boys for life 4/10. I liked the first 2 this was horrible.
Guns of Navarone 1961.
Gregory Peck, Anthony Quinn , David Niven and all silence the guns
A groundbreaking widescreen adventure.
The first Rocky movie was just on TV. Still a very good movie. 9/10
The original Gone in Sixty Seconds, it's great to see how it was from when I was young.
Set in Baltimore in 1959 at the height of the Colts/ Johnny U mania.
Very moving, emotional flick. You will remember those long ago days.
Jojo Rabbit. Fantastic movie featuring a fresh concept instead of the same old remake.
Since I watched Extraction with Chris Hemsworth last week, I watched Extraction with Bruce Willis last night. "Sucked" is a good enough word for it. I'll give it a 4, leaning toward 3. As I was watching I was thinking that the 2 actresses with the most screen time in the movie had the acting skills of porn stars, without the looks. It's always surprising with you see a big star like Bruce Willis playing some supporting role in a low budget dog like this.
The parts where the script called for them to act like the stocky chick from the Mandalorian was smoking hot just left me a little confused.
The movie and book for The Shining were very different. I thought they did a good job using this movie as a sequel to both.
I actually liked Dr. Sleep better than The Shining.
Hell or Highwater.
Excellent. 8.5 out of 10.
This was a rewatch. Enjoyed it again. Jeff Bridges is very good.
