Anyone know where I can get a box of .40 180gr Ranger Ts?

I've been doing some at-home SD ammo testing and I'd really like to test a couple of these.

I'll post results after I get a few more done. I gotta tell you though, the Winchester supreme elite 180gr seem to be excellent performers. Probably the best, so far.

Anyone know where I can get a few Ranger T's? The only ones I've found are in bulk.

Anyone have any good suggestions on ammo/experiments?

I've done some testing of my own into gelatin and they are a great load.

    www.tds-us.com

    www.mahsupplies.net

and www.sgammo.com are all good places for RA40T's

You can get onto YouTube and there are a few guys that have tested them on video.

Mahsupplies is a good place to deal with. I have ordered a few times from him and have nothing but good things to say.

I have heard good things about the others suggested here too but have no personal experience with them.

I order mine (in .357 Sig) through ammunitiontogo.com, ordered 350 rounds so far, got another order in for 250. They ship fairly quickly and the price is pretty good.

What the heck are you doing with them? They're too expensive to plink with, mine just gather dust.

I used to order from Ammo To Go but they never seem to have the exact ammo that I am looking for. I know that the other guys will have something in stock. If one doesnt have it, one of the others will.

I wouldn't out HotPig like this. Winchester is really being a ***** when it comes to this. They want people to rat out dealers who sell this ammo to the public. Id delete that post and pm this info.

Yeah I don't know if they are afraid of law suits with all of the bad press that surrounded the original Black Talons, or what. Or if they've taken this stance due to short supply, and they want to give law enforcement agencies priority.

The new PDX1 bonded ammo is whats being marketed to us lowly civilians. However it doesn't have the sharp petals like the Ranger T series.

If they continue to d**k around, I have no problem at all switching to the Federal HST round.

I'd PREFER the HST's but they are all but impossible to find in 9mm.

The PDX1 does have the sharp talons like the T-Series, they just dont protrude as much like the do on the T-Series. I think that the bonding along with the bullet forming process subdues them.

I have not seen any in the Metro Atlanta market, but I have several 50 round boxes of 9MM Talons, not for sale.
