    Greetings,

I recently went to a new indoor range. There seems to be a registration process at this place where they require your personal information (Name, Address, ??).

Is this standard operating procedures to have a firing range copy down your personal information? With all these companies being hacked (Equifax) I'm very hesitant to give up my information even if they just want to send me junk mail.

Is this a common affair to give indoor ranges your personal info?

Yes, it is common place! It will be hard for you to find a reputable Range, where they will allow you to join/shoot, without that information.

    Not common where I live.

One did it, they are out of business.

A few others just hold your DL, but do not copy the info.

    A few others do nothing.

I just show my DL, they look at it and hand it back.

(Just saw this was in the Illinois forum,
so my answer may be irrelevant.)
