Detroit Police are investigating the possible suicide of a Detroit man found in a southwest Detroit park Sunday afternoon.

The DPD Bomb Squad was also called to the scene when wires were found, exposed from the man’s pants pocket. Bomb squad investigators discovered it was a camera and not a bomb, Stephens said.

Police are waiting for the Wayne County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death. The DPD Homicide unit continues to investigate the man’s death.

My heart goes out to his family and the people that called him a friend!!!

If someone wants to kill themselves then it's their choice. Just be thankful he didn't take anyone else with him, like some people do.

agreed, my sympathy is for his family that have to continue on with the consequences of his selfish act, forever wondering if they could have done something more, not for him.

Their are MANY factors to consider here before you go and throw a party for someone who committed suicide. Did you ever stop to think that maybe they were NOT in a proper frame of mind? Thoughts of suicide can be an indication of mental illness.

Saying you have no pity for someone who committs suicide is like saying you hope those church group members who protest at US servicemen funerals shows up for YOUR funeral. BOTH are idiotic comments.

Yes. That's exactly what I said. Throw a party for him.

There's every chance he wasn't in a proper frame of mind. My sympathy, as I said, is for his family. He benefits not from anything I or anyone else feels.

I got an infraction last week from MsKitty for writing almost the same thing you did here... Let me know if you receive one too.

    Huh?

I've been a member for almost 9 years and never gotten any "infractions". Not sure why a post like that would warrant one. :dunno:

Huh? is exactly what I thought when I saw the infraction from her. I sent her a PM last week asking to explain how I violated the TOS, no reply.
