I started to download Apple Quicktime and was told that I can't do it as my OS is not good enough and the download stopped, my question is --- How do I get rid of the icon on my start bar? I have deleted any folders that Quicktime had but that icon is still there!!! Anybody?:(

You most likely just need an older version of Quicktime to work with your OS.

Try restarting the PC and see if it goes away.

I can delete the icon by clicking on it and select "exit" but when I re-start it comes back!
