Does anyone know if Safariland just sells the holster to attach to this thigh rig? Right now it's setup for a taser but need it for my Springfield TRP with x300.

I have been looking for the same thing for a long time-1911 with x300. I don't think SLand sells just the holster. Many times I almost ordered the least expensive belt holster to slap on the thigh part but it is still 90 bucks. That particular holster doesn't come up used very often. I look all the time.

I am interested in this thread too.

The SLS body will fit on there. Its just a matter of finding that SLS body. You can call safariland. Or find a cop shop that might order it for you. I wouldn't know why safariland wouldn't sell just the body. They sell just the thy rig with nothing attached to it other than the straps.

Only unless someone puts up the the correct holster for sale for a decent price and I haven't found one for the two years I have been looking.

Wes Prebeck can order the body. Safariland made the UBL just for that interchangeability so you can put different bodies on the UBL. The thigh holster is the same, you can put a body on that backing with 3 screws.

Aren't you admin, what do you know about holsters?

Wprebeck was the first person I talked to. I need the gear soon and Safariland and local dealers had a month plus time frame to get me the holster. I ordered it online from a rather large cop shop and they had only one left in stock (if that tells you anything). In the future I will order a new holster body from Wprebeck.

Now go back to wearing your 5.11 slippers and walking the carpet. :tongueout:

What'd it end up costing you? Did you get a price on just the body?

I ordered two holsters. A 6360 ALS and a 6004 thigh rig in od green. Together it was around $240.

According to my research and after perusing all the catalogues on my desk, I would say that's too much for the two items. I've seen the 6004 thigh rig below $100 and the ALS below $130. Coupled with the many discounts and incentives, it can be way below that.

It has been my contention all along that if one already possesses the thigh rig portion of the setup, then the only viable way to change just the holster is to purchase the STX or fine tac 6280 for whichever gun you want and slap it on.

Also a 1911 with a x200/x300 attached never come up used. I have two useless thigh rigs-one for a glock 17 no light, one for a 1911 with the insight technologies M6x/M3X. In a sense the thigh rig part is almost throw away because of the useless holsters attached to them.

Now the OP could probably get a few bucks for his Taser rig depending on the model Taser it carries. Heck we can check out the big M26 taser here and there are plenty of nerds who carry them on a thigh rig.

I'm sure it's a violation of some obscure CALEA policy to pay too much. Time constraints really got me on this deal. I would have ordered elsewhere for cheaper, but that also comes with a 4-8 week wait.

As long as your light is smaller than it will work. Besides, I use an M3X... on my 870.

Um yeah. Of course a smaller light will fit. I guess I am picky in that i don't really feel like having my gun rattle around in the holster. BTW the holster on ebay is for a lefty.

Tap, tap tap. Is this thing on?

I use the M6 on my pistol and the M3 on the shotgun.
