I am ready to order a Lone Wolf Longslide for my G20SF. I'm looking for any up to date info you have on performance and reliablilty. Here are a few questions I need answers to as well.

    1. Did the slide require any smithing to cycle properly? Approximate cost?

    2. What sights do you have?
I'm leaning towards Warren Tactical rear, HiViz front. (Target/Hunting)

    3. Are you using a stock or aftermarket recoil assembly?

    4. Anyone using a Red-Dot with a Carver style mount?

    5. Is there anything you would do differently?

Just a heads up,...there was a thread here a yesterday where a few members had
ordered slide assemblies and have not received them yet. Oh yeah, they ordered them in OCTOBER! :wow:

I missed that one. LWD's website says the G20L slide is backordered with an expected availability of 2/19, so I just assumed I'd be ok. That sucks, but it makes sense. I ordered my G20L barrel on 12/18, blindmarked with black oxide finish, and it hasn't shown up yet.

    From Dan at Lone Wolf:

Hope this explains things. I'm not sure on the specifics of our order and when things actually transpired, but yes, we have been waiting. The explanation that I received as to why is printed above...

I have the G20T slide rather than the "L" version but I'll answer some of your questions:
Yes. I had to take it to Robar twice. $105 the first time. They worked on it again when the first effort wasn't reliable.
I put XS 24/7 Standard Dots on it because I have their Big Dots on all my other Glocks.
I put in a 20# ISMI spring and stainless rod I got from Glockmeister.
    No.
Never start the project in the first place. Cost way too much for what I ended up with. Yea it works and shoots fine now but it isn't worth all the money invested.

Thanks Dave. So it functions well now? I'm expecting some extra cost and headache, but hopefully I won't be disappointed with the end result.

    Anyone else? Paging Dr. Lunde...
