I have a line on a 2nd Gen 19 and was wondering if the grip feels smaller than the Gen 3 19.

I never really liked the finger grooves anyhow.

Yes, slightly. The finger grips add some plastic to the front of the grip. IMO the second's feel better.

My 2nd gen. G19 feels perfect in my hand, but of course that's a very subjective thing. Having picked up a couple 3rd gen. (but not having shot them) I like the way the 2nd gen feels better.

    I have a 2nd generation Glock 23 and 3rd generation Glock 30sf and a glock 34. I prefer the 2nd generation grip.

I've had 2 19s: one 2nd gen and one 3rd gen. While I could shoot/hold the 3rd gen fine I much preferred the 2nd gen pistol. The 19s finger grooves just don't fit my hand right. That being said, the 17 and 26 seem to both fit my hand like it was made for me.

I would say the 2nd gen pistol's grip does feel smaller. Different strokes for different folks, handle it and see what you think.

I greatly prefer the grip of the second gen Glock 19/23. A lot of guys who work at the local gun range have had the front straps of their 3rd gen 19s and 23s shaved down and stippled to feel like 2nd gen models.
