There has been much in the news lately of the budget difficulties the state government is facing, but it's unfair to place all of the blame with one person. Also, I don't always trust the news stories anyway, as they have a tendency to over-simplify and sensationalize.

Here's my question: What do you guys think of the job Governor Schwarzenegger is doing? Is he trying to make the best of a bad situation, or is he contributing to the problem?

For everyone else: I'm curious to hear from people in the state, because you guys probably pay a lot closer attention and know the in-state issues better.

For tbhracing: Can you believe I'm bashing California again!!! :wow:

Arnold is as much a part of the problem as that worthless Karen B*** and her counterpart Steinberg. Arnold is a joke.

In my opinion based on what I have seen so far, Arnold started out pretty good but the real issue is his hands are tied on many things due to the rest of the state legislature. But as like in the military, the guy at the top takes the beating and the blame. Just like at major corporations.

Arnold started out pretty good but after a while I think he just gave up. It's really hard to fight stupidity and I think he realized that finally. So now he's just riding it out till the next election.

There were a ton of things that Arnold could have shot down. Instead he is gladhanding the greenies and the anti gunners and driving up costs everywhere.

    Sometimes here, sometimes there
Ahnold has his share of blame. He could have shaken things up but chose instead to be a celebrity governor. What a waste of an opportunity.

You never know whats going on behind closed doors so I think its hard to speculate. this can be the case in any other state as well. Other than the fact that i can only carry a 10rnd mag,(which is so lame when you have a G17) i love this state. Snowboard, camp, fish, surf, shoot, all in one day!

Arnold is a RINO and was not right from the start. He sought his uncle Ted Kennedy for advice and came out against guns in the very beginning.

But, the People's Republic of Kalifornistan is actually three separate states. 1) The hard line socialists which would represent san fran, san jose, berkeley, etc. 2) Traditional liberal and 3) conservatives. Even though kalifornia is a liberal stronghold and almost always votes for the demonRATs in elections, if you look at a county by county red/blue map, most of the state is red=conservative.

So you've got all these philosophies constantly at war with one another, meanwhile the demonRATs do nothing but buy welfare, deadbeat and illegal immigrant votes with their entitlement programs.

Nobody could make that dump work. Especially not arnie the RINO.

Your description could apply to the whole country. There is a mix of all different sorts. Central CA is very conservative, and people sometimes forget it is the state that elected R. Reagan governor- not all that long ago.

While I didn't care for him from the beginning since I was a McClintock supporter...he was all right at first I guess, but between the stuff that can't be changed because of this or that and being yelled at from all sides, I feel like he either gave up and/or just wanted to try his best at being liked.

The stupid global warming crap he's been spewing as of late is a good example.

Frankly, if I had my way I'd have the entire legislature lynched outside on the capital lawn, but I've been told I can be a bit extreme in my views sometimes.
