I interested in having my C22 converted to a G22C. Would it be cheaper to buy another slide or could I have it milled by a gunsmith? I'm also using a KKM barrel and S&J comp. If I have my slide cut then I would need to have it refinished. I guess I would then go with Hardchrome and have my comp done as well. Also can you have a tunsten recoil rod HC? Just wanting some imput.

You would be bset off sending your pistol to Magna-Port.

You would be best off to sell your G22 in the paper (not to a pawn shop or dealer), and buying a G22C. I'm almost certain this will cost you the least coin.

Later, if you want a plain G22, simply buy a non-ported barrel and drop it into the 22C.

I think what Koski is suggesting is by far the best option. Mag-na-port charges $129 for a standard semi-auto to be ported through the slide and barrel. I can't imagine having to pay more than $100 or so in boot to trade your 22 for a new 22C and, if you can find a used 22C you might be able to trade close to even ($25-50), since a 22C is a lot harder to sell than a 22.

will A G22C cloud my fiber optic front sight? I'm running a S&J comp and it clouds the front of the sight but the fronts not an issue.
