I would like to retire in the philippines one day from the US. Can I import my guns from the US to the P.I., how much red tape is involved and will I have to register them with the P.I. authorities? What about ammuntion also? Is there any place in P.I. that rents automatic weapons to shoot like a Glock 18? :)

You can get an official answer from our national police by sending them snail mail at this address:

    Firearms and Explosives Division
    PNP National Headquarters
    Camp Crame, Quezon City
    Philippines

Sorry, I tried looking for their email address but I couldn't find it on their site. You could try browsing their site if you want, the address is www.pnp.gov.ph

    M5,

If you are not a citizen of the Philippines, I believe there is no legal way to own firearms in the Philippines.
