    Hello all,

I am a bit of a noob when it comes to SW wheel guns. I was able to find a great SW model 64 in .38 SPL at the local shop. I was able to find a pretty good deal for 365 dollars. The gun is beautiful and functions great (the trigger is AWESOME!).

The one problem I have with it is that the firing pin (if that is what its called on revolvers) moves quite a bit. The hammer seems to be solid but the lil "nipple" that strikes the primer wiggles up and down.

    Is this normal?

What you're talking about is called the "hammer nose" and yes, the wiggle is quite normal. Enjoy your new revolver...congrats!
