I'd like to sell a gun on-line (GunBroker). I am confused about using USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc. for shipping a gun. I understand that a gun sold on-line must be shipped to an FFL for transfer to the buyer. However, is it OK to ship a gun to an FFL as just a regular private gun owner? How is this best done? I have heard that it's illegal via USPS and that UPS doesn't want to do it. Assistance from anyone on this? Thanks. jrh

Handgun I would ship to the buyer's dealer via a friendly local FFL. Their fee would likely be less than FedEx and they can use USPS Priority.

Long gun I think can be shipped by an individual to a FFL through USPS.

    From the horses mouth...
