Hi all,

Question about the mags, as the title says: Are there 15 round magazines made for AKs or even new magazines blocked to 15?

The reason I ask: I have seen on Classicarms.us seems to have, Converted, 7.62x39mm Saiga "AK's" ... Which is really what I've wanted for a while. I just figured I had to get an *ARSENAL* to do it. Now I realize Arsenal is "the best" ... for $429.99 it's basically an AWESOME PRICE ... I like Arsenal but I don't need that Arsenal babying THAT MUCH .. for $429 vs $900 UI mean come on now...ND IF I am readig this right, it's NJ Legal right from them vs. Arsenal isnt' (they recently started making a compliant version but ) I MEAN, its got a non adjustable stock, I don't see a BAYONET Lug or a Flash hider, so I'm golden right? (as Long a sI don't use magaxines about 15 rounds... It canACCEPT bigger mags like ouir ARs can, just can't HAVE THEM...

So if this is ready to rock an droll in NJ and I can gert nice magazines 15 rounders, II'm probably interested.

any tips or in fo, thanks mucho.

I don't know of any 15 round AK mags. I think the "ban compliant" AK's just mean the rifle itself is ban compliant, and that they come with 5 or 10 rounders. By capping them at 10, they can be sold to more ban states, since some of the states only allow 10 round mags (unless that state has a pre-ban clause).

I thought the Jersey Ban works by specific firearm, meaning they had a list you could refer to. Not sure about that but I've NJ guys talking about guns not being "on the list".

I do not mean to be rude and this will probably come off wrong, but i can only say it one way, and I mean, I am quite familiar with NJ laws guys, and the reason why there are a lot of 10 round magazines produced etc.

Simply i am asking if anyone (you guys don't know, I understand, perhaps others) know if there are companies producing new or blocked 15 round magazines for the AK. Like, MidwestPX is producing many vareties of Magpul PMAGs into 15 round magazines by blocking the 30 and 20 rounders, and even cutting down 30 rounders to build a different one. So they have 3 different 'shaped' PMAGs holding 15 rounds, in all 4 colors, with or without Ranger plates, available for purchase. (And also they do the same entire thing, 10 rounders, for other states.)

So I am not as familiar with AK industry, so I was wondering if someone knew say TAPCO produces a 15 round mag , or joesmith.com is taking new 30 round magazines and blocking them down to 15 rounds, etc.

No problem I appreciate your efforts and doin't mean to be short, I am just quite familiar with NJ laws I just was looking for more specific product info, thank you anyway.

You could always google 15 round AK mags and see what you get but I've never seen or heard of AK mags that were other than 5, 10, 20, 30 or 40 rounds.

You can also make a 10 round Saiga mag into one that holds 13 or 14 rounds but that's not what you asked either.
