I wanted to upgrade one of my magazines g17 gen 4 from 17 rounds to 19 with the extension. I wanted to know is there a spring I need to get as well as the bottom part of the mag. Or the one that is there is fine? Also is there any websites that anyone has a good review with purchasing a extension. Low cost & good quality. Sales?

honestly man if you are only considering adding 2 rounds, leave it like it is. you would have to purchase a different mag spring and floorplate, but the cost isnt the problem (because they are cheap). the problem is that most of the time the aftermarket floor plates and springs just dont work as good as the stock factory parts, so adding just 2 rounds might sacrifice your firearms reliability, many people report immproper feeding after installing these +whatever extensions. anyways you cant be happy with 17shots? **** even though it is a 9mm, 17 shots would kill or at least mame any living creature in this country

Get a Glock OEM +2. It's $10. No new spring needed and they work 100% on every mag I've ever used them on.

It should work fine with the spring that's in the magazine right now, it's a 10-coil spring. G22 magazines used to use the same 10-coil spring, Glock recently upgraded them to 11-coil springs. If you experience any problems with the 10-coil spring, you can use the 11-coil spring for G22 magazines.

Go Arredondo or Dawson. The GLOCK/Pierce/Schrer will pop off on you at some point (don't ask how I know that), leaving you with a pile of ammo and lost mag parts scattered around the range. It was so prevalent that it became known as the "speed unload" among USPSA types at our local club.
