I wasn't able to attach a jpg picture to a post, although I clicked on the "attach file" button and selected the file on my computer to insert in my post. The progress bar showed that the picture was being transmitted over my slow dial up connection, but the picture never showed up.

I also tried to delete the message I had posted, but got a message saying I wasn't allowed to.

    What am I missing?

    1. If it is the first post in a thread, it cannot be deleted.
    2. Dial-up may time-out on large attachments.
    Can only try again.
Or reduce the size of the photo.

You should be allowed to edit your own posts, but if the software "timed-out" during the upload attempt, then it logged you off the board, and when you tried to edit the post, it thought you were someone else and wouldn't allow you to edit.

Make sure you are logged-in and try the edit again. Even of you cannot delete the entire post, you can erase all the text and replace it with a single period or something similar.
